About the RoleWere looking for a dedicated Youth Support Mentor to join our team in Karratha on a full-time is an independent role co-located with the Youth Justice Service supporting at-risk youth to achieve positive outcomes across key areas of their lives including rehabilitation wellbeing education and life skills.
Your day-to-day will include:
Building trusting supportive relationships with young people
Facilitating goal-focused programs and linking young people with relevant services
Advocating for client needs with internal and external stakeholders
Participating in case planning and coordination meetings
Supporting emotional wellbeing and countering negative peer influences
Full-time role working Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)

Experience working with at-risk youth
Strong communication relationship-building and problem-solving skills

An understanding of the issues facing people in regional WA
Desirable:
Experience in regional and/or remote communities
Awareness and commitment to Equal Opportunity principles
Essential clearances and requirements (or willingness to obtain):
National Police Check (within 3 months)
Working With Children Card
C or A Class Drivers License
First Aid Certificate
Department of Justice clearance (HOPE will assist)
Valid work rights in Australia
