Job Title: Internal Sales Engineer

Department: Sterile Division
Reports To: Manager
Location: Govandi Mumbai
Working Hours: 9:15 AM to 5:15 PM Monday to Saturday
Experience Required:3 years
Education Qualification: Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
CTC Range: 5 6 LPA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Internal Sales Engineer for our Sterile Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the internal sales process handling customer enquiries coordinating with cross-functional teams and supporting the external sales force. This role demands a balance of technical understanding communication skills and sales coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and respond to customer enquiries received via email fax letters and field sales personnel

  • Register scrutinize and qualify enquiries for further processing

  • Coordinate with field sales product managers sales managers and the Design & Engineering team to process enquiries

  • Prepare and submit accurate techno-commercial quotations

  • Liaise with manufacturing units for costing technical clarifications and documentation like DQ (Design Qualification)

  • Actively follow up with customers for DQ approvals

  • Review and verify received orders technically and commercially against submitted quotes

  • Prepare TOCs (Terms of Contract) and CRs (Customer Requirements)

  • Coordinate for FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and arrange factory visits with customers

  • Maintain detailed documentation and communication records

  • Assist Sales Manager in preparing OSB (Order Sales Book) reports and payment collection status

  • Ensure smooth internal sales operations within the division

Required Skill Set:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent telephonic communication abilities

  • Team player with collaborative working style

  • Good understanding of engineering fundamentals

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings

  • Basic understanding of the industrial sales process

  • Proficient with MS Office and business communication tools

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (ERP/CRM) is a plus

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Timely and error-free preparation of quotations/offers

  • Effective enquiry registration and qualification

  • Quality of documentation and communication

  • Accuracy in order scrutiny and processing

  • Support efficiency to sales and design/engineering teams
