Job Description:
Baylor Universitys Office of Media & Public Relations has student writer positions available for the 2024-2025 academic year for enrolled students interested in a career in professional writing journalism or public/media relations.
Media & Public Relations maintains the flow of news and information between the University and local state and national media and keeps records of university media placements. Student writers gain valuable experience writing news releases and feature stories and working alongside staff in a professional atmosphere.
- Provide marketing and communications support to assigned area of responsibility
- Assist with various projects activities or tasks related to marketing and communications
- Support marketing and communications strategies and perform duties accordingly
- Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
