Are you passionate about advocating for safer more inclusive communities The Naomi Society is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Prevention and Awareness Coordinator to lead community education and outreach initiatives aimed at eliminating gender-based violence and violence against women. In this impactful role you will work closely with staff and community partners to raise awareness about gender-based violence deliver educational sessions focused on prevention and foster community engagement to build safer more informed communities across Antigonish and Guysborough Counties.

Reporting to the Executive Director the Prevention and Awareness Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the Naomi Societys mission to prevent and respond to gender-based violence. This position is responsible for developing and delivering educational programming raising public awareness and fostering community partnerships that support inclusive trauma-informed approaches to violence prevention.
Key responsibilities include:
Naomi Society works to eliminate violence against women and gender-based violence in Antigonish and Guysborough Counties by protecting and promoting the safety dignity and human rights of women children and all genders through trauma-informed community prevention outreach support and advocacy.
