New Orleans LA is looking for Structural Bridge Design Engineers - Entry Level
As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team youll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. Youll have opportunities to interact directly with clients become a valued partner on a variety of high-impact projects and apply fresh insights at every stage of a bridges life cycle. Positions Available -
Entry Level (0-4 years related Bridge Design Experience)
Ideal Candidates will have:
At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University
Ideal candidates will have a valid EI certification or in the process of obtaining.
General Responsibilities of a Structural Bridge Design Engineer:
Review and check standard structural design calculations.
Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
Provide information for design reports.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned including field inspections and construction serviceassignments.
Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
Review and check drawings.
Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS RISA-3D LEAP Bridge AutoCAD MicroStationetc.
Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications including: AASHTO AREMA AISC ACI etc.
