Health and Safety Administrator

Job Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety (H&S) Administrator for our well-established manufacturing client near Stamford. The successful applicant will assist the H&S team in maintaining and promoting a safe working environment across all operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong administrative background who is passionate about workplace health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Health & Safety team including document control and record keeping.
  • Maintain H&S databases registers and training records (e.g. inductions risk assessments incident reports).
  • Assist in preparing reports audits and compliance documentation.
  • Track and monitor safety incidents ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Support the investigation of accidents and near misses by compiling documentation and tracking corrective actions.
  • Liaise with contractors suppliers and internal teams regarding H&S documentation and requirements.
  • Maintain and update the H&S notice boards and communications.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role ideally within a Health & Safety or compliance-focused environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion.
  • NEBOSH qualification essential.
  • Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Hours and pay:

  • 38 hours per week
  • Working Hours Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 4:30pm 30 mins lunch. Friday 7:30am to 11:30am
  • Salary up to 15/hr DOE Bonus
  • 36 days holiday per annum
