Position Overview:
- Oversee the accounts payable team located in US Canada UK and India providing guidance training and support to ensure high performance
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices
- Use 3 way reconciliation between Salesforce Concur and Workday to ensure proper coding allocation and classification of transactions in line with Company policy
- Monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Work in collaboration with procurement tax and technology departments to continuously improve and streamline systems (Concur and Workday) to accommodate ever changing and complex global environment
- Continue ensuring effective integration and functionality of Concur and Workday systems addressing any issues that arise
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues promptly
- Work in collaboration with HR and payroll to ensure all payrolls are funded on time
- Identify and research payments exceptions and work with the banks and vendors to close them on a timely basis
- Support external audits providing documentation and responding to audit inquiries as needed
- Ensure compliance with 1099 filings for US entities
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the AP function
- Lead projects to automate manual processes reduce errors and improve overall productivity
Required Qualifications:
- 15 years of direct AP experience in a complex environment with multiple departments/complex expense allocations with at least 5 years in a leadership position
- Working knowledge of Workday Financial and Concur Payable (preferred) or other similar systems
- Strong understanding of value added tax (VAT) regulations across multiple jurisdictions and their applicability to invoice processing
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; detail oriented and self-motivated
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
The minimum base salary for this role is $80000 if located in New York. This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation. This role may also be eligible for benefits such as health dental and other wellness plans as well as 401(k) contributions. Successful candidates compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.
