Operations & Communications Support Administrator.
Fixed Term Maternity Cover 18 hours.
About the role:
In this varied and rewarding position you will provide strategic support to the Councils Parks & Countryside team across a wide range of projects initiatives and tasks. This includes managing the administration and coordination of work with the Parks & Countryside Senior Management Team to ensure that service activities and initiatives are transformed and aligned with Directorate and Corporate systems approaches and priorities.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating internal communications to ensure smooth information flow across the service organising and attending meetings preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes. Youll handle customer enquiries with professionalism and care helping to maintain a high standard of service. Youll also build and maintain positive relationships with community and voluntary groups and assist in planning promoting and delivering events for the Parks & Countryside Service.
In addition youll carry out essential administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders processing invoices and maintaining accurate records and databases.
About the candidate:
We would like to hear from you if you are confident using technology with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office databases and CRM systems along with excellent communication skills both written and verbal that enable you to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills are essential as youll be managing multiple priorities meeting deadlines and working independently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail is key particularly when handling financial administration tasks with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
While this role is initially offered as maternity cover there is potential for it to become a permanent part-time position depending on service needs.
