Job Description
Role: Consultant/Senior Consultant Vijayawada Andhra Pradesh
Experience Required: 4-8 years Not more than 8 years
Salary Band: 80k- 1.35 lakh per month
Employment Type: Contractual (9 months)
Language: Telugu speaking skills are preferred.
About the role:
We are seeking a Consultant/Senior Consultant PMU to play a key role at the project level with a strong preference for candidates experienced in the Education vertical. Working closely with the Engagement Manager and a small team you will engage with practitioners donors and other stakeholders. The ultimate aim is to inspire and guide stakeholders to achieve intended outcomes through innovative strategy and implementation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Communication & Presentations:
- Present research findings and insights through high-quality visually compelling analysis.
- Adhere to standards of strategic communication (pyramid principle objective communication brevity simplicity).
2. Research and Data Analysis:
- Formulate key areas of inquiry and conceptual frameworks for qualitative/quantitative research (beginner proficiency).
- Conduct primary and secondary research (intermediate proficiency in market research solution landscape mapping policy research etc.).
- Mine reorganize and simplify data from various sources.
- Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets focusing on trends and patterns for diagnostic and predictive analytics.
- Manage focus groups conduct interviews and carry out surveys.
- Monitor data collection progress and perform quantitative/qualitative analysis to extract relevant meaning.
3. Project Management:
- Work closely with Engagement Managers and Senior Consultants to lead tracks and effectively plan daily responsibilities at a project level.
- Mentor and guide other Consultants Associates and Analysts to ensure their learning and delivery.
- Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills to focus on impact-linked activities.
- Solve problems effectively in short high-pressure time frames to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Present findings to clients in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Proactively monitor and report any risks in individual/project milestones.
- Maintain thorough documentation of key project knowledge assets.
4. Government Engagement:
- Prior experience working with municipal state and central government ministries or specific departments is a must.
- Ability to apply for various government tenders and work with officials (Directors Deputy Directors) across departments is essential.
- Prior experience completing projects commissioned via external agencies or partnerships is an added advantage.
- Prior work experience with Chief Secretaries Commissioners and other government officers is preferred.
Key Qualification & Experience:
- Experience: 4-6 or 6-8 years of experience in consulting project management & complex operations and stakeholder management within corporate social enterprises consulting firms or global foundations.
- Education: MBA/MA/MPP or an equivalent postgraduate degree in management/development studies.
- Problem Solving & Advisory: Exceptional problem-solving and advisory skills strong presentation and data analytical abilities.
- Government Engagement: Prior experience in Government Engagement at the state or national level across the Education sector is required.
- Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Team Leadership: Prior experience in leading small teams is an added advantage.
- Data Tools: Prior experience working with data across Excel SPSS STATA etc. is an added advantage.
- Mindset: Display humility willingness to listen and excitement to learn.
- Multi-stakeholder Environment: Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment will be an added advantage.
- Preferred: Strong problem-solving skills and prior experience in consulting firms exceptional PowerPoint skills strong understanding of data and extracting valuable insights strong empathy for government stakeholders.
