About Your Opportunity

Use your strategic thinking and creative ability to deliver targeted communication to stakeholders with a focus on our people customers media and South East Queensland communities. Develop narrative that supports our mission to provide safe clean drinking water while we also deliver a multi-billion dollar Dam Improvement Program for future water security.

Provide communication support and advice on best practice for sharing information knowledge stories and content across the business. Maximise opportunities to build a positive culture through informative educational and entertaining content.

Be a proactive contributor and collaborator consulting with stakeholders and helping tell our stories across intranet website newsletters presentations and marketing materials.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of effective communication strategies to inform engage and align audiences across multiple channels and activities.
  • Develop specialised internal communication plans and provide advice to senior leaders to support Seqwaters strategic outcome areas.
  • Lead and review high-quality audience-appropriate storytelling content for internal channels and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage communication contractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with broader business communication objectives.
  • Support crisis and issues communication including on-call emergency events while managing multiple activities with strong attention to detail and quality standards.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Minimum five years experience in corporate communication.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering communication plans for internal and external audiences and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in corporate communication activities and storytelling tools to manage corporate brand and reputation.
  • Strong team collaborator with a track record of developing targeted narrative for diverse stakeholders (employees media customers shareholders community).
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communication marketing journalism or public relations; experience in crisis communication desirable.

This position will be offered on a 12-month fixed term contract with the potential for further extension or permanency with the salary starting at $122730.25 plus 12.75% superannuation.
