Job Summary
The Goldstein Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow interested in pursuing innovative studies on the biology of enteric neurogenesis and translational cell therapies for neuropathies of the peripheral nervous system.Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
The fellow will join a collaborative group of scientists with expertise in studying the basic and translational biology of neural crest cells with particular focus on neurogenesis. The research aims to enhance our understanding of postnatal neurogenesis in the peripheral nervous system and to leverage biological insights to utilize neural crest cells to treat diseases of the enteric and peripheral nervous systems. This position provides outstanding opportunities for continued scientific development and for contributing to pioneering research with high translational impact. The scientific environment at Massachusetts General Hospital and surrounding institutions offers ample opportunity for productive collaborations.

Job requirements:
The candidate will have a solid foundation in experimental biology with a strong record of publication. A PhD or MD degree or equivalent is required. Expertise in molecular biology and cell culture is necessary. Experience working with rodents is required. Fundamental knowledge of neurobiology and/or gastrointestinal physiology and the methodologies used to study these including histology and immunohistochemistry are favorable. Experience in sequencing technologies and viral gene delivery platforms will be beneficial. Outstanding oral and written communication skills are mandatory.
