This position has the ability for remote/hybrid scheduling. Residents in CA NY OR VT WA Washington DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible based on UPHs Geography.
Responsible for coordinating monitoring and maintaining credentialing and recredentialing processes for physicians advanced practice professionals (APP) and other health care professionals specified in the Medical Staff Bylaws Credentialing and Privileging Policy Medical Staff Organization Manual and Peer Review Oversight Policy DNV state federal and other regulatory agencies while working independently and utilizing critical thinking skills. for UnityPoint Health Des Moines (UPHDM) and contracted entities. This position serves as an essential link and resource between senior management operational/clinical leaders and medical staff to coordinate the operational processes and ongoing credentialing privileging and medical staff governance functions for the organization.

Minimum Requirements
Preferred or Specialized
Education:
High School degree
Two-year college degree
Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience in a Medical Staff office or credentialing .
Windows environment familiarity with credentialing software programs.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Certification as a Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) following completion of five years of employment. Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
CPCS or CPMSM certified
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication skills. Must be able to set priorities and schedule and perform duties on a timely basis. Must be able to work efficiently with frequent interruptions deadlines and in a team environment. Must have strong experience with Word Excel and databases

Other:
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. Must be able to work independently in a remote environment.
