At Delta Dental of Idaho The Project Manager plays a key role in shaping and defining the companys project roadmap and oversees and manages all aspects of projects. This position works closely with stakeholders from all departments to successfully deliver new products and services implement new technology solutions and oversees activities and initiatives that help the company achieve its strategic objectives.
Essential Functions
- Lead all phases of strategic projects including in-house developed and third-party software infrastructure upgrades and system integrations.
- Ensure that Project Management Office (PMO) projects are properly scoped documented and managed according to our defined methodology.
- Ensure that the business priorities of project stakeholders are fully understood and appropriately represented/considered in all planning design and delivery activities.
- Ensure that project objectives budgets and success criteria are clearly defined and achieved.
- Report progress on projects in PMO meetings and via other communication channels.
- Negotiate prioritization of projects with project sponsors and the Senior Leadership Team to develop the PMO Roadmap.
- Work closely with leadership to ensure department roadmaps align the PMO Project Roadmap.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the organizations mission vision core values code of ethics and compliance/security standards.

RequirementsKnowledge Skills. and Abilities
- 3 years of experience as an IT Project Manager Business Analyst or Product Manager.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience managing full project lifecycles in Agile Scrum and/or Waterfall environments.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure software development and system implementation.
- PMP or Agile certification preferred.
- Experience in the health care or insurance field and a working understanding of pertinent federal regulations such as HIPAA preferred.
- Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to influence others and appropriately manage escalated issues.
- Proficiency in project management tools as well as Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Visio.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Sitting/Standing (alternatively) continuously.
- Extensive keyboard use--repetitive hand motion.
- Skill/ability related to comprehension organization problem solving reasoning/decision-making and communication with significant impact on the department and the organization.
