Position Summary:


An ILI Field Superintendent is responsible to plan and oversee the inspection activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership qualities and demonstrated communication skills that allow him or her to take control of a project and produce results. The position requires extensive travel and reports to the ILI Operations Manager.


Responsibilities:


Safety & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure safety is put first in the execution of all tasks and processes.
  • Develop document and communicate job site safety analysis plan for each job. Conduct tailgate safety meetings.
  • Perform QA/QC analysis on ILI tool build and testing.
  • Write standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.
  • Maintain all required records and inspections to be in compliance with safety policies.

Project Planning building Execution & Maintenance

  • Review and evaluate pipeline questionnaires construction drawings and as-built drawings for upcoming jobs. Make necessary changes to mitigate risks and ensure a safe and successful job.
  • Supervise the assembly and final buildout of the ILI machine before dispatching the tool to the job site.
  • Take a lead role in the project management process pre-job planning and liaise with the customer throughout the ILI job. This includes logistical requirements.
  • Performs trip management ensuring crew arrives onsite as planned.
  • Complete all job closing documents and reporting.
  • Assist the equipment coordinator in maintaining inventory organization.
  • Manage crew equipment maintenance repair and compliance.
  • Performs other assigned tasks.

Customer Service

  • Be the on-site representative for Entegra at the job site. Communicate with customers regarding job execution including safety scheduling operations and run status.

Training

  • Train ILI crew members on all aspects of ILI operations.
  • Maintain training records of the field trainees and technicians.

Expense & Timesheets

  • Approve time sheets and expense reports for the ILI crew.
  • Manage costs of flights lodging and any other traveling expenses to align with Entegra policies.
Requirements
  • Pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test and Background Check.
  • Drivers license with clean driving record
  • Passport or ability to obtain one
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within Western Canada. The ability to travel internationally to the USA may be required.
  • Field work may require long workdays including early morning start and late evening finish
  • Ability to routinely lift and carry 25kg (50 lbs.) throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift 45kg (100 lbs.) waist high multiple times throughout the workday.
  • Normally will work in shop and field which can include extreme working conditions: heat cold wet etc.
