Job Title: Student Worker - Health Literacy Audio Recording Translator - BC

Job Classification:Education and Training Student

Contact:

Work Schedule: Schedule to be determined by supervisor. Once 6 audio recordings are completed in up to 60 hours total per language the assignment will end.

Desired Length of Employment: Ongoing up to 60 hours total

Pay Rate: $16.66/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking translators with native or native-equivalent fluency in at least one of the following languages to support a refugee health literacy initiative: Arabic Burmese Dari French Gujarati Hindi Pashto Swahili Tigrinya or Urdu.

To help ensure culturally and linguistically appropriate education to assist refugee communities to better manage their health a translator will create six audio recordings of health education in a target language from English templates to help newly resettled immigrants and refugees navigate the U.S. healthcare system. Translators must be fluent and able to accurately interpret and convey medical/health-related language in the target language.
