Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture and modernization of our clients insurance policy administration systems (AS400 Life/Group Asia). This role requires deep expertise in solution design system integration and migration strategies with a strong understanding of the insurance domain particularly life and health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of scalable secure and high-performing policy administration solutions.
- Define and implement integration strategies across core insurance platforms third-party systems and digital channels.
- Drive migration initiatives from legacy policy admin systems (e.g. mainframe AS/400) to modern platforms (e.g. cloud-native SaaS-based).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders product owners and delivery teams to translate insurance business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide architectural governance and mentorship to solution and domain architects.
- Document architecture decisions patterns and reusable components.
Requirements
- 10-15 years of experience in IT with at least 5 years in a senior architecture role within the insurance industry.
- Proven experience with policy administration systems including design integration and modernization.
- Strong knowledge of insurance business processes: policy issuance endorsements renewals cancellations and claims.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and integration technologies (APIs ESBs messaging).
- Familiarity with data migration ETL and data quality practices in insurance contexts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
10-15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in a senior architecture role within the insurance industry. Proven experience with policy administration systems, including design, integration, and modernization. Strong knowledge of insurance business processes: policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and claims. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration technologies (APIs, ESBs, messaging). Familiarity with data migration, ETL, and data quality practices in insurance contexts. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
