AECOM seeks an Architecture Designer for our growing NY Metro Building Places team to work on interesting and challenging projects for a variety of clients. This role will be based out of our Bloomfield NJ office.
This Architecture Designer position will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Architecture plus six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Twelve (12) years of strong technical skills and demonstrated experience in all phases of architecture project delivery.
Prior Design/Build experience.
Professional experience using a wide variety of production and visualization software including but not limited to: AutoCAD Revit Rhinoceros Bentley MicroStation Open Buildings Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop PowerPoint InDesign Illustrator MS Excel and Word.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate a collaborative environment.
Diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices.
Strong client-facing skills and exemplary communication and collaboration skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Be able to work independently in a team environment and as a project team leader.
Be able to carry assignments to completion in accordance with project objectives codes/criteria/standards policies and procedures.
May oversee the work of junior architects and designers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Coordinating design activities with other disciplines.
Provide technical leadership to assigned projects to ensure that all technical work produced is of high quality and within the context of schedule and budget.
Possess knowledge of local building and transit related code requirements.
