Job Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming/outgoing shipments and prepares items for Stocking/Picking by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Must operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.

Responsibilities:

Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.

Operates PB crimp tools including diagnosis repair and processing.

Operates the stretch wrap banders.

Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

Supports the receiving of goods with a high quality and attention to detail to comply with customers stocking needs/request.

Responsible for receiving all materials designated for parts fulfillment department.

Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead.

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Supports the shipment of goods produced and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.

Responsible for arranging trucks for pick up by the carrier specified on the customers purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.

Part Receiving/Stocking cross work.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of three years experience in a warehouse/fulfillment environment.

Must have basic computer user knowledge.

Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills excellent communication and organizational skills.

Knowledge of WMS and RF guns.

Demonstrated commitment to safety.

Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred one year ERP experience.

Attention to detail self-starter.

Ability to read and use a tape measure.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Required Knowledge Skills Abilities:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of 2 years of forklift & reach truck experience

Must pass pre-employment and random drug screen

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
