Schedule: 32 hours per week 4 days per week typically 8am-4pm Sunday worship services as needed

What Youll Do in This Role:
At the heart of our community the Lead Chaplain serves as a compassionate guideoffering spiritual support meaningful connection and uplifting counsel to enrich the lives of our residents. You will facilitate worship practices and opportunities for all faith traditions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Religious Services
- Coordinate all aspects of spiritual programming.
- Plan develop coordinate and conduct regularly scheduled religious services for residents.
- Oversee and ensure provision of regular and special worship opportunities.
- Facilitate worship practices and spiritual growth opportunities that are important to all faith traditions.
Team Mentor
- Lead by example in maintaining an atmosphere of warmth personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the community.
- Mentor a team of chaplains providing guidance and support.
Support and Guidance
- Provide spiritual support to residents and team members during periods of crisis death and dying grief and loss as needed.
- Perform rites penance communion (Holy Eucharist) funerals etc. as requested.
- Assist dying residents to meet their needs carry out their desires and preserve their dignity.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain and submit records/reports of pastoral activities as required and prepare necessary information for inclusion in residents medical records.
- Review pastoral care programs/services
What Youll Need:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Service Field and Master of Divinity Degree or equivalent.
- Be ordained and in good standing with ones ecclesiastical body.
- Must have as a minimum 3 years experience in a pastoral ministry with significant time spent working with the elderly.
- Must be duly ordained in accordance with laws of this state.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience coordinating and overseeing spiritual programming
- Association of Professional Chaplains certification preferred.
