Test Lead (Finance Transformation)

We are seeking a Test Lead to join our team in Melbourne in a client-facing role for a large-scale finance ERP transformation. You will be the guardian of quality shaping the financial backbone of a major organisation and ensuring its successful transition to a new Oracle Fusion platform. 

Using your functional finance knowledge you will test the workstream for all finance modules. You willwork across test strategy from designing detailed plans and cases to leading the execution of all testing phases. This includes functional integration system and user acceptance testing. You will be the central point of contact for quality working with technical and business teams to resolve defects and ensure the solution is robust and fit for purpose. Your leadership will be key to mentoring the testing team and embedding practices that lift our overall capability.

Success in this position requires your hands-on experience in testing large finance systems particularly across Source to Pay and Record to Report functions. Your practical knowledge of GL processes financial reporting and procurement workflows is essential. We need your prior experience with Oracle Fusion or a similar enterprise ERP grounded in a solid understanding of accounting principles. Your background should demonstrate a strong command of the full testing lifecycle and proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly and can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications :

• Large-Scale Finance Systems: Proven hands-on experience in functional testing of major finance systems such as Oracle or SAP  
• Specific Financial Streams: Deep understanding of Source to Pay Record to Report and Acquire to Retire processes.
• Core Accounting Knowledge: Practical knowledge of areas such as General Ledger (GL) accounting reconciliations financial and regulatory reporting budgeting forecasting purchase order management invoice processing and payments.
• Financial Principles: A solid understanding of core accounting and financial principles is essential.
• ERP Systems: Prior experience working directly with Oracle Fusion or an equivalent enterprise-level finance ERP solution.
• Testing Tools: Working knowledge of tools such as JIRA Zephyr SharePoint and Confluence for test and defect management.
• Test Design: Proficiency in designing and creating detailed test plans test cases and scripts that align with business requirements.
• Lifecycle Management: A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect lifecycle management.
• Testing Execution: The ability to lead and conduct various testing types including functional integration system regression and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Communication and Collaboration: Strong skills to work effectively with technical teams business analysts and non-technical business stakeholders.
• Leadership and Mentoring: The ability to lead testing activities mentor other team members and drive improvements in testing processes.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail to identify gaps and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
