Welcome to IKEA Delft in the Netherlands !

Would you like to be the Sales Manager for the IKEA Delft market one of the top turnover and volume markets in the world

IKEA Delft is transforming to be the best omnichannel retailer in its market. This will be the main assignment for the next few years. IKEA Delft is part of Inter IKEA systems B.V. We have strong ambitions to grow our PMA through store services online and new customer meeting points.

As a Sales Manager (Market Hall) you will be a member of the stores management team. You will lead and inspire your team to optimize the shopping experience ensuring satisfied customers and increased sales and profitability. You will use your knowledge of the IKEA product range local market competition and customers to create a customer-centric and sales-driven environment.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Drive sales and profitability through effective merchandising promotional strategies and market insights.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans together with the management team to enhance IKEA Delfts performance as an omnichannel retailer.
  • Set budgets implement action plans and follow up on goals to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Inspire and develop your team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Promote flexibility speed and simplicity in store operations to enhance customer satisfaction and sales efficiency.
  • Ensure seamless integration of online and in-store shopping experiences to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely within the commercial team to align strategies and achieve shared goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and development within your team.
  • Address customer needs and feedback to ensure a positive shopping experience.

You will need some experience!

The person we are looking for must have a solid IKEA retail background and proven track record of performance leadership and be familiar with the way we do business and the way we act. Someone who strives to give an amazing customer shopping experience and is passionate about commercial opportunities. Someone that always puts the customer at the heart of what they do and encourages others to do the same. You ensure IKEA has a lifelong connection with its customers by always considering their needs in commercial solutions. You are a charismatic engaging and experienced leader.

You have a strong ability to lead while communicating in an inspirational way. You also have stronganalytical skills with the ability to take a holistic view of a global organization and identify opportunities accordingly combined with ability to prioritize relevant operational data and make decisions with speed and are looking for a leader who understands the value of being part of theteam andwho will support the daily operation.

Availability
At IKEA the customer is in focus. Our customers visit the store at various times also in the evening weekends during national holidays and during school holidays. We expect that you will be present when the customers visits us. Of course you have an impact on your schedule yourself as well.
