Job Description
Dawson Mine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mining Supervisor: Dragline to join the Production team on a permanent basis based in Moura QLD. This role will have you oversee and supervise a team of Dragline Operators operating our BE1370 and Marion 8200 Draglines to produce Steelmaking Coal.
You will be responsible for:
- Coordination of personnel equipment and resources within Dragline operations.
- Ensure site dragline activities are undertaken in a safe cost effective and efficient manner in line with agreed operational standards and targets working as one team.
- Enforce plan compliance and promote engineer and operator engagement to ensure that the business can meet production targets.
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislative requirements.

To be successful for this position you will ideally hold:
- Supervisory experience within an open-cut coal mine (dragline operations desirable).
- Operational dragline experience is highly advantageous.
- Hold the Supervisor & Risk Facilitator competencies (S1 2 3 & G2) is desirable.
- Significant operational experience within the coal mining industry.
- A strong understanding of open cut mining equipment and mining techniques.
- A desire to continually work at being an effective supervisor and leader.
