Job Description
Novo Building Products is an industry-leading manufacturer and distributor of stair parts mouldings doors and specialty millwork along with a variety of board products. Based in Zeeland Michigan Novo Building Products operates Ornamental Decorative Millwork L.J. Smith Stair Systems and Novo Direct.

This role pays $18 per hour shift is Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
Essential Responsibilities:
- Keep building inside and out in a clean and orderly condition; maintaining and repairing building and property as needed.
- Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning/sweeping floors shampooing rugs washing walls and glass and removing rubbish.
- Perform routine maintenance activities on structure machines and mechanical equipment notifying Supervisor of need for repairs.
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
- Clears snow or other weather-related hazards or general debris from sidewalk/walkways.
- Work with vendors to plan and schedule necessary repairs
- Communicates supply order needs to Supervisor
- May assist in gathering and emptying trash receptacles located inside and outside of the warehouse
- May operate a forklift or tugger as needed to offload and move product and pallets throughout warehouse safely.
- Conducts Daily inspection of forklift or tugger at start of shift and report any malfunctions or damages to Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Effectively perform all essential functions including physical requirements
- Basic math interpersonal/team and reasoning skills
- Ability to read understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Flexibility in scheduling able to work overtime as needed.
- Use of proper PPE and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Experience with plumbing to address leaks clogs or other drainage problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in maintenance in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to use hand tools and power tools.
- Experience in carpentry to handle basic repairs within the building.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust.
- 100%: Stand handle or feel squeeze or grasp
- 80%: Reaching with hands and arms depth perception
- 50%: Walk repetitive motion operate moving equipment
- 10: Working bent at waist stoop kneel crouch bending or twisting
- Lift push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Lift push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
