Pay range: $83600 to $139300 per year

About this position:
The Bozeman Community Relations Manager is responsible in covering from Three Forks to Livingston and into Yellowstone National Park working to advance the reputation and image of NorthWestern Energy and contribute to the business and civic life in the communities served by NorthWestern Energy.

About this job:
- Establish productive positive and effective relationships with business civic and local government leaders
- Represent NorthWestern Energy in various economic development opportunities including Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development groups
- Assist in the establishment of position papers for consistent and appropriate company messages
- Identify strengths and challenges in each community
- Review existing agreements develop consistent strategies identify opportunities and establish professional relationships in the communities served
- Establish process to track large projects for targeted communities
- Represent NorthWestern Energy at public meetings and forums
- Develop and/or present informational presentations to governmental and civic groups.
- Assess development opportunities in relation to siting of commercial and residential development
- Work with local Contribution Committees for charitable giving
- Support local employee community/volunteer involvement
- Develop methodology to measure productivity and effectiveness of Community Relations actions and outreach programs
- Evaluate and establish methods to grow the utility business
- Develop and implement a community action plan
- Represent NorthWestern Energy on non-profit Boards
- Must be able to travel up to and in excess of 60% of the time and be available to represent NorthWestern Energy at various evening and weekend functions
- Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
- Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energys values mission Code of Conduct and Ethics and strategic business objectives

- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
- Degree in Business Economics Marketing Communications Engineering or minimum of five years relevant equivalent experience required
- Demonstrate considerable working knowledge of civic and business structures in the Bozeman area and communities throughout Montana.
- Ability to interact with the public and develop positive customer and community relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
- Demonstrable leadership conflict resolution and change agent skills required
