Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists operations supervisor in making sure all lines are obtaining performance goals in their department including quality yields efficiency supply waste etc. The incumbent will be responsible for keeping production lines running.
- Assists operations supervisor in determining opportunities to improve overall performance of the department. This may include presenting and acting upon ideas of better work methods or staffing of personnel to maximize efficiencies.
- Is responsible for educating new employees on the safety quality and process requirements of various positions. This would include training on the personal protective equipment required machine hazards fork-lift traffic quality specification of products etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Meet with Team Leader and other Line Coordinators for level 2 meeting with Operation and Production Managers at 8:45pm.
- Assist the Sanitation TL with level 1 meeting or run level 1 meeting if TL is not there.
- Assist the TL or be able to move around Sanitation team members as needed to provide adequate coverage.
- Unlock the chemical rooms and cabinets for the Sanitation team members.
- Ensure that all start of shift tool accountability is completed and filled out accurately.
- Ensure that all end of shift tool accountability is completed filled out accurately signed off and turned in daily.
- Walk lines they are responsible for to ensure that lines are acceptable and ready to have water and chemicals sprayed in rooms.
- Ensure that all Sanitation team members are wearing all appropriate PPE correctly while using chemicals.
- Once Sanitation team members are done with their area and are waiting for pre-op move them on to another area to clean.
- Plan and carry out Monthly Cleaning Schedule some areas are weekly bi-weekly monthly quarterly bi-annually and yearly.
- Assist new Sanitation team members with becoming chemically qualified and proficient in using chemicals.
- Become forklift and high lift certified.
- Perform chemical titrations start of shift and end of shift.
- Assist TL and Sanitation team members with planning PTO.
- Assist with monthly Safety trainings.
- Assist with initial and quarterly Lock Out Tag Out training.
- Ensure that chemical room drain plugs are correctly in the drains.
- Assist with or plan the weekend labor needed.
- Assist with conducting a pre pre-op of production lines.
- Attend Wednesday night sanitation team meeting with Production and Operation managers.
- Attend weekly sanitation meeting on Thursday mornings at 6:15am.
- Look for ways to make the Sanitation team more proficient at cleaning their lines to get them released as early as possible.
- Learn how to repair hoses foamers and sanitation equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Be able to work in a cold environment (32-45 degrees) for 8-10 hours a day.
- Must be able to move lift push or pull 50-70lb several times an hour for 8-10 hours a day.
- Must be able to stand 8-10 hours a day.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices(GMPs) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs
- 2 years of consistent work history at a food manufacturing facility or production facility
- English Bilingual
- Need to be willing to get LOTO chemical forklift and scissor lift trained.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous lead or coordinator experience in a food manufacturing facility or production facility
