What Youll Do:
- Scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patients arrival; reminding provider of service delays.
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel.
- Maintains established quality control standards.
- Shows patients to exam rooms according to company standards.
- Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians company standards and policies.
- Processes appropriate documents in an organized and accurate fashion.
- Respects patient confidentiality at all times.
- Organizes exam and treatment rooms stocks and cleans rooms and sterilizes instruments.
Requirements:
- Must have experience with verifying insurances pre-certifications and authorizations.
- Excellent communication skills and excellent work ethic.
- Must be well organized with a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be reliable with a friendly phone and in person demeanor.
- Must have experience scheduling patients
- Must be computer literate and have proven customer service skills.
- Handles sensitive patient information with confidentiality to ensure patient privacy per HIPPA Law.
- EMR Experience and in a surgical environment is a plus.
- Must be willing to travel for training.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to take initiative to complete solo projects.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Effective communication and customer service skills
