Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Project Liaison Officer on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 23.08 - 30.65 per hour

Summary:

As a Project Liaison Officer you will act as the main point of contact between Islington Council and its residents during cyclical and major works projects. You will lead on all resident communications consultations and complaints ensuring clear accurate and empathetic engagement with tenants and leaseholders throughout the life cycle of capital works.

You will be responsible for communication strategies satisfaction surveys resident meetings complaints management and supporting legal access procedures when necessary. Your goal will be to foster trust provide clarity and maintain high satisfaction during complex property improvements and maintenance projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver tailored communication strategies for each assigned capital works project.
  • Draft and distribute newsletters posters leaflets and formal communications related to ongoing projects.
  • Act as the key Council contact for resident queries concerns and complaints.
  • Investigate and draft responses to Stage 1 complaints relating to assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and attend residents meetings (evening availability required); chair or minute meetings as needed.

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and empathetically.
  • Experience in a resident-facing community liaison or customer service role.
  • Skilled in organising and delivering meetings and public consultations.
  • Good IT literacy (Microsoft Office databases etc.)
  • Ability to manage tasks independently with strong time management.
  • Experience handling complaints and working with diverse community groups.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an basic DBS
