Responsibilities
Our London Real Estate Litigation team is seeking an NQ to join the team.
You will enjoy a challenging and varied caseload as well as excellent professional development opportunities. The team is assisted by outstanding knowledge lawyers and dedicated support staff.
The department acts for a broad range of clients including;
- Commercial landlords and some tenants.
- Investors.
- Developers.
- Ground rent and other residential landlords.
- Social Housing organisations.
- Private individuals.
The firm operates a hybrid agile working policy. We expect 3 days in the office per can also apply for other flexible working options either at the time of recruitment or during the course of their employment.
Essential & Desirable Criteria
Experience of a range of commercial L&T living sector and real propertyissues is sought including some or all of the following:
- Commercial and residential landlord and tenant including
- Issues arising out of the Building Safety Act 2022
- 1954 Act renewals (contested and uncontested)
- service charges
- rent recovery and forfeiture
- housing defects
- tenant insolvency
- alienation
- Real property disputes
- rights of light
- nuisance
- restrictive covenants
- easements
There are opportunities for involvement in other areas such as:
- Disputes relating to sale and purchase development agreement forward funding and agreements for lease
- Planning disputes
- Complex transactional support
