Description

Successfully perform site planning and landscape design for various clients and projects; Gather data and documents including but not limited to topographic utility and parcel data information and combine to create basemaps for projects; Conduct and prepare site analysis and site inventory packages that include property and parcel data city code summaries zoning regulations setbacks circulation access sun studies soil conditions analyses of the surrounding environment and context and other analyses; Investigate and research natural resources plants and wildlife specific to each projects location; Develop implement interpret and ensure compliance with rules and regulations laws and codes policies and procedures; Seek and take into account input from local residents and potential users to help guide design; Develop site plans from preliminary concept planning through master planning; Assist with the development of construction documents; Successfully select plant material that would be the best fit for each projects site; Label and create plant palettes and plant schedules that are easily understood by clients; Ensure accessibility requirements are met; Quantify project materials and elements in order to assist with the development of opinions of probable cost to construct; Contact and coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to gain understanding of their products and materials; Assist with site furnishing and project materials selection; Use technology such as: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Illustrator Photoshop) AutoCAD (Civil 3D) Lumion Sketchup LandFX Plex Earth and AfterEffects. Draft and create accurate to-scale drawings from sketches design drawings and verbal instructions provided by colleagues; Create 3D renderings using 3D modelling and rendering software; Research and assemble project display boards showcasing site analysis information proposed plans precedent imagery and existing imagery; Prepare and perform project presentations for colleagues. Assist with business development marketing and outreach initiatives; Understand and promote the ISG brand and vision including cross-selling services. 8% travel to local/regional projects in Minnesota South Dakota Iowa Wisconsin.

Requirements

U.S. Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from a Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB) Accredited Degree Program.


Requires 4 years of experience with:

Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Illustrator Photoshop);

AutoCAD ;

Lumion;

Sketchup;

AfterEffects.


Experience may have been gained while pursuing a degree.

Requires MNDOT Landscape Specialist Certification.
