The Quality Engineer Beneficiation is responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance of quality assurance and control procedures related to the beneficiation plant construction and commissioning. This includes oversight of civil structural mechanical piping and electrical installations associated with crushing screening grinding flotation and other ore processing systems.
This role ensures that all project execution activities adhere to project specifications client standards regulatory codes and quality management systems while operating in a challenging fast-paced site environment.
Implement and monitor site-specific Quality Management Plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for beneficiation systems.
Ensure all quality-related procedures and standards are followed during construction installation and commissioning phases.
Conduct inspections and verifications on civil foundations structural steel tanks piping and equipment related to ore processing facilities.
Collaborate with engineering construction and commissioning teams to proactively manage quality issues and support resolution of non-conformances (NCRs).
Review contractor and vendor quality documentation (WPS WPQRs ITPs NDE reports material certificates).
Coordinate third-party inspections and liaise with client quality representatives.
Monitor and verify material traceability welding quality and fabrication compliance on-site.
Participate in audits and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.
Maintain QA/QC documentation and ensure records are compiled reviewed and handed over according to project requirements.
Support punch listing and turnover activities for mechanical completion and pre-commissioning.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Metallurgical Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in a similar QA/QC role in mining heavy industrial or beneficiation plant projects.
Strong understanding of beneficiation processes (crushing milling flotation thickening tailings etc.)
Familiarity with ASME AWS ISO and mining industry standards and specifications.
Practical knowledge of welding inspection NDT and material testing in the field.
Experience working in remote construction sites or camp-based mining environments.
Certification as a Welding Inspector (CSWIP/BGAS/API/AWS) or NDT Level II is advantageous.
Strong documentation auditing and communication skills.
