Job Description
Bacchus Marsh Grammar is an independent co-educational non-denominational Prep to Year 12 School with three vibrant campuses in Melbournes west. The school prides itself on being an employer of choice and the professionalism diligence and quality of its staff.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Librarian to join our school community. The Teacher Librarian at Bacchus Marsh Grammar is responsible for the development and implementation of a stimulating and engaging library program and the provision of a range of support services to staff and students in areas such as teaching and learning and promotion of a reading culture.
The Teacher Librarian will promote all aspects of the library to the school community and evaluate their success to create an environment of continuous improvement.
This is a part-time fixed term 6- month contract position based at our Woodlea Campus located in Aintree (Rockbank).
Commencement date for this position to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

- Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications/Licences
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration (VIT).
- Appropriate Teaching qualifications.
- Appropriate Library qualifications desirable.
- Valid drivers licence.
Demonstrated Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated experience teaching in a classroom and working as a teacher librarian.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of library management systems and digital resources.
- The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A passion for lifelong learning and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with members of a community.
- Acts professionally and maintains appropriate confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively as a member of a team and independently without supervision.
