Job Description
Law and Motion Attorney
Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a successful plaintiff civil litigation firm with over 15 Attorneys over 1000 five-star Google reviews and over 30 years in business helping the injured. We need a sharp experienced Law and Motion Attorney who will handle complex motion work across a wide range of serious injury cases including automobile accidents catastrophic injuries wrongful death and premises liability. You will play a pivotal role in shaping litigation strategy and supporting trial counsel by delivering persuasive high-quality legal writing and analysis.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Draft and oppose a variety of motions including motions for summary judgment/adjudication demurrers motions to strike motions in limine and discovery-related motions.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support ongoing litigation
- Collaborate with trial attorneys and litigation teams to develop a strategy
- Prepare legal memoranda oppositions and replies
- Review and analyse discovery responses deposition transcripts and medical records as needed for motion work.
- Ensure timely filing and compliance with all applicable deadlines.
- Appear in court including covering depositions and making in-person and virtual appearances on behalf of the firm
REQUIREMENTS:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience handling law and motion in personal injury litigation (Plaintiff or Defense)
- Exceptional legal research writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume motion work while meeting tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with local rules in Los Angeles and surrounding counties.
- Proficiency in Westlaw Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Salary: $140000 - $180000
