Job Title: Lead Physicist
Salary: $250000 - $300000 (Annual)
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the quality assurance processes for stereotactic radiosurgery treatments.
- Utilize advanced technologies such as Elekta Gamma Knife Icon in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure compliance with best practices in medical physics.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance for Gamma Knife stereotactic radiosurgery.
- Participate in continuous professional development and keep up with advancements in radiation therapy technology.
- Engage with patients and healthcare providers to explain procedures and ensure proper patient management.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical physics specifically in the area of stereotactic radiosurgery.
- ABR Certification is mandatory.
- Experience with Elekta Gamma Knife systems particularly the Icon model is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in quality assurance and medical physics in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with various treatment protocols and technologies within the field.
- Continuous learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and practices in stereotactic radiosurgery.
