We are currently seeking a professional innovative and enthusiastic Executive Director for our Central and Northern Missouri Chapter based in Columbia Missouri.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:As the leader of the Central & Northern Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross you will be at the forefront of creating lasting transformative change in the communities we serve. Youll act as a dynamic ambassador building deep relationships with key community leaders businesses and elected officials while cultivating an influential Board of Directors to champion the Red Cross mission. With strategic vision and inclusive leadership you will inspire a high-performing team of volunteers and employees to expand our reach and achieve ambitious goals in fundraising blood collection and program service delivery. Your visionary planning and key role on the Missouri-Arkansas Regional Leadership Team will ensure that the Red Cross remains an integral force for good empowering communities and making a lasting impact.

- Dynamic Leadership of the Greater St. Louis Chapter: As the Chapters leader you will be the vital link between the American Red Cross and the communities we serve ensuring our presence is deeply felt and our mission creates lasting change. You will expand our impact forging strong connections to ensure that the Red Cross is woven into the fabric of our communities.
- Building Transformative Relationships: You will be a key ambassador cultivating meaningful relationships with influential community leaders businesses philanthropists and elected officials. Your leadership will drive the achievement of chapter and regional goals by expanding the reach and capacity of the Red Cross in our Greater St. Louis chapter.
- Championing an Influential Board of Directors: You will develop and lead a diverse influential and well-connected Board of Directors empowering these local champions to galvanize resources and support for the Red Cross. Your role will ensure the Boards effectiveness in driving the Red Cross mission forward.
- Inspiring Strategic and Influential Leadership: As a visionary leader you will inspire and motivate a high-performing team of volunteers and employees through influence to exceed fundraising blood collection and mission delivery goals. Your ability to think strategically and inspire others will shape the future of the Red Cross in our Greater St. Louis chapter and have a lasting impact within its communities.
- Creating a Culture of Inclusion and Belonging: You will leverage your influence to foster a culture of collaboration inclusion and belonging ensuring employees and volunteers feel empowered to work as a cohesive mission-driven team for impact and community outcomes.
- Visionary Chapter Planning: Youll spearhead the chapters annual planning process identifying key areas where we can make the greatest impact in the community. Your vision will directly shape the outcomes we deliver in partnership with the communities we serve.
- Key Regional Leadership Role: As a member of the Missouri-Arkansas Regional Leadership Team you will work closely with the Regional CEO playing an integral role in shaping the direction and success of the American Red Cross in the region. Although this position doesnt include direct reports you will hold a pivotal role on the regional leadership team leading the Greater St. Louis Chapter toward increased influence and impact within the communities we serve.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
- Education: Bachelors degree required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination ofeducation and related experience required.
- Management Experience: NA
- Skills & Abilities: Ability to work collaboratively with a team. Knowledge of applicable principles concepts practices and standards.
- Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences.
Other: Proficient with MS Office software including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
Preferred Residence of: Jefferson City or Columbia MO
Travel: Ability to travel within Region.
