Status: Permanent Full-Time
The Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) is seeking an experienced leader to fill the key role of Manager of Knowledge Clinical Learning and Professional Practice.

What We Do
There has never been a more exciting time to be at WAHA. We are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees physicians and partners in care. As a health authority you will work in a unique setting where you have the opportunity to care for patients in all phases of their life journey in all areas of their health experience. From Primary Acute and Mental Health Dental Specialty Clinics Population Health and the WAHA Paramedic Service the opportunities for growth are boundless. What Youll Do
- Participate and guide portfolio team members to promote policies procedures and best practices
- Maintain confidentiality and effective information data management and integrity
- Lead team to ensure goals and objectives are realized
- Ensure effective succession planning and professional development for high potential and performing employees
- Provides regular reporting to WAHA Education and Leadership teams
- Participate in the planning implementation and tracking/documentation of in-person learning including but not limited to in-services courses and mock/practice scenarios
- In collaboration with Clinical Learning Coordinator & Liaison support the development and review of education policies procedures and processes
- Support WAHA Educators with the coordination of internal and external education and learning programs where necessary for the provision of on- or off-site education courses or in-services for WAHA
What You Bring
- Masters Degree in a health discipline
- Diploma or degree in Nursing and currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Current instructor-level certification in any of the following courses: BLS ACLS PALS NRP CTAS ENPC TNCC NVCI
- Ability to communicate in the local Cree language is considered an asset
