The City of Abbotsfords Information Technology Division is currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused auxiliary IT Support Assistant to join our Information Technology team for a 14-month term. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone passionate about technology and eager to support a dynamic organization through hands-on technical assistance and problem-solving.
In this role you will provide first-level support for IT-related issues including desktops peripherals mobile devices and telecommunications. You will troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware problems in person by phone email or remote access and maintain accurate records in the helpdesk ticketing system. Your responsibilities will also include installing configuring and maintaining desktops laptops and related software; assisting with IT projects and customer requests; preparing user documentation and providing basic training to staff; supporting the setup and relocation of IT equipment; and staying current with technological developments and best practices.

This position is unionized CUPE Local 774 and the hourly rate of pay is from $28.33 to $33.32.
