  • 24404 per annum pro rata
  • Post 1: 22.5 hours per week

As a Support and Information Officer in the Childrens Centre Team (based at Foley House Family Hub in Newmarket or The Lark Family Hub in Mildenhall) youll be as keen to collaborate and build a bright future as we are.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Support and Information Officer you will be the welcoming face of our Family Hubs providing a warm and professional first point of contact for families children and professionals. Youll manage reception duties support the Community Health Team with administrative and finance tasks and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment across our sites.

Youll play a key role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme and Childrens Centre Statutory Framework supporting children from pregnancy to age 5 and their families. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and signposting families and professionals to appropriate services
  • Managing reception and supporting building operations (e.g. key holding health and safety checks)
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of group activities
  • Handling administrative tasks including data entry room bookings and financial processing
  • Promoting services through marketing social media and community engagement
  • Supporting safeguarding practices and escalating concerns appropriately

You will need

  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration Customer Service or equivalent experience
  • Good literacy numeracy and IT skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Experience in administrative and office-based roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites and adapt to changing priorities
  • A passion for supporting children and families and a commitment to safeguarding

Youll be part of Suffolks Community Health Team (019) working collaboratively with colleagues across Family Hubs in the Forest Heath area.
