The Director of Operations is a critical member of the Foundationsmanagement team driving operational excellence through strategic implementation of technology security processimprovement and data governance. The Director of Operations oversees the Foundations systems infrastructure and leads cross-functional projects and implementations that support the Foundations mission to servedonors nonprofits and community stakeholders. This role requires forward-thinking strong project management skills strategic oversight in technology and operational planning a deep understanding of data systems and governance and a passion for building sustainable operational frameworks.
Qualifications:
:
- Bachelors degree in business administration information systems or related field*
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in operations or multi-system management
- Demonstrated people leadership experience with the ability to lead technical operations and data services functions with clear guidance direction and strategic oversight
- Extensive knowledge of data security multi-system security audits compliance and risk mitigation best practices. Demonstrated expertise overseeing data governance analysis and reporting tools
- Experience leading process controls change management and ensuring system-wide data integrity across CRM platforms to support organizational effectiveness and strategic decision-making
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience leading system implementations managing complex initiatives with a variety of stakeholders adapting to changes in work demands and implementing workflow analysis/management
- Strong technical skills in operating and managing data for a variety of systems including project management and donor management/CRM software. Advanced proficiency with business intelligence and analytics tools (Power BI Tableau etc.)
- Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate strategic conversations align stakeholders and translate input into actionable plans
- Commitment to operating and leading in accordance with the highest ethical standards and in line with the Foundations stated value
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in business administration information systems data science or a related field
- Certification in data governance or data management (CDMP etc.)
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and/or ethical AI implementation practices

Essential Functions:
- Lead the assessment selection implementation and integration of new technologies including CRM platforms. Oversee the Foundations technology strategy in relation to strategic planning and business development ensuring that systems are efficient secure and aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to leverage and optimize tools resources and platforms.
- Establish and enforce policies around data collection usage access and integrity between all systems of the Foundation including the Foundations primary CRM system (Customer Relationship Management). Monitor overall system performance and ensure data protocols are maintained.
- Coordinate and execute security audits across all data systems in collaboration with the Foundations IT vendor. Ensure audit findings are addressed and integrated into operational practices and that system-wide security protocolsremaineffective up-to-date and aligned with data governance and compliance standards.
- Oversee the development of dashboards and reports that inform strategic decisions and measure organizational impact. Ensure compliance with all applicabledataprivacy and security regulations.
- Partner with the relevant internal stakeholders to design implement and document processes that are comprehensive efficient and aligned with organizational needs. Ensure all functional requirements and end-user perspectives are integrated into system configurations and workflows.
- Lead organization-wide projects with clear planning timelinesaccountabilityand communication. Effectively oversee change management during system or major organizational procedural across departments to implement strategic initiatives improve internalworkflowsand project management frameworks.
- Oversee complex data initiatives in collaboration with internal leaders and external partners/vendors to enhance the strategic planning and operational effectiveness of the Foundations development and engagement programs includingidentifyingnew opportunities conducting in-depth research and managing moves and relationship strategies.
- Lead the development and implementation of internal policies and practices related to the ethicalsecureand effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies across the organization. Provide strategic oversight of AI integration ensuring alignment with data governance standards organizationalvaluesand risk management practices.
- Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management for staff involved with data operations ensuring that team members with varying levels of experience are effectively supported guided and developed. Establish clear roles responsibilities and workflows to promote accountability consistency and collaboration. Implement structures that strengthen data practices and align the teams work with organizational goals.

Environment:
The primary work locationis1120 S. 101stStreetin Omaha Nebraska. This role is expected to work in the office with the occasional flexibility to work from home.
