We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buyer to join the purchasing department of our custom window manufacturing company leverage procurement expertise and supplier relationship management experience to drive cost-effective purchasing decisions and support organizational growth as a Senior Buyer. Committed to delivering high-quality materials and services on time and within budget while aligning procurement strategies with business objectives.
Analyze material demand and usage to forecast purchasing needs and optimize inventory levels.
Place and manage purchase orders with vendors; track delivery timelines and follow up on delayed or late shipments.
Maintain inventory to meet target levels set by management ensuring adequate supply without overstock.
Coordinate material deliveries and expedite urgent orders to meet production requirements.
Identify and build relationships with secondary vendors to ensure supply chain continuity and reduce risk.
Negotiate pricing quantity discounts and freight terms to maximize value while fostering positive supplier relationships.
Work closely with production materials and finance teams to align material needs and timing.
Investigate and resolve supply chain or inventory-related issues efficiently and effectively.
Recommend and implement improvements in purchasing processes to drive cost savings and operational efficiency.
Bachelors degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years in a purchasing or material buying role ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
Organized detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Solid understanding of inventory control and supply chain best practices.
