About the opportunity

Cessnock City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Experience Support Officer to join our team and support the Customer Experience Coordinator in delivering key initiatives from Councils Customer Experience Strategy.

This position is a full-time maternity relief contract for a 12 month period with possibility of extension.

In this role you will play a vital part in shaping a positive customer journey by providing exceptional frontline service and assisting with the design implementation and improvement of customer experience programs. You will also offer professional responsive support to the Business Support and Customer Relations team.

Remuneration:

$73756 - $85402 per annum plus superannuation

*Please note these rates of pay will increase by 3% from 5 July 2025*

About You

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Customer Service Business Administration or a related discipline along with experience working in a high-volume frontline customer service or administrative support environment. They will demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively and professionally with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.
