Project Manager Residential Extensions Heritage Refurbishments & Custom New Builds
Location: Inner West Sydney
Salary: $100000 - $150000 Super (depending on previous experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am 4:30pm (no weekends)
Work Type: Predominantly office-based with local site visits as needed
As a specialist recruiter in the residential building sector Im working exclusively with a long-standing high-quality residential builder to find a Project Manager who is passionate about managing bespoke homes with care control and client focus.
About the Company
My client is a well-respected design-led builder with over 20 years in the Sydney market. They specialise in high-end extensions heritage renovations and architecturally designed new builds operating primarily across the Inner West Canterbury-Bankstown and Canada Bay regions.
Currently managing around 25 active projects and another 40 in design they provide end-to-end project delivery from concept to handover. With a team of around 20 to 25 staff including PMs estimators supervisors and a growing design team. This is a stable well-supported role in a close-knit collaborative environment.
The Opportunity
Due to growth and strong pipeline my client is seeking a new PM to step into a critical role managing 57 projects typically ranging between $800K and $2.5M in value. Projects consist of bespoke and detailed extensions and knock-down-rebuild with a portion involving heritage work.
Youll be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle from approval through to handover including subcontractor and client management scheduling budgeting and quality control. This role is Monday to Friday only with no weekend work and all projects are local to the Inner West.
About You
The client is open-minded and focused on culture fit drive and a desire to improve. The right person could come from one of the following backgrounds:
- A highly experienced Contract Administrator (residential or commercial) ready to move Into a PM Role
- An up-and-coming PM with around 12 months of experience - tech-savvy coachable and hungry to grow
- An experienced Residential Project Manager with a proven track record delivering end-to-end custom home builds
Other key qualities were looking for:
- Highly organised and process-driven
- Strong communicator with clients and trades
- Skilled in maintaining quality budget and schedule
- Self-motivated with a professional team-oriented attitude
- Residential construction knowledge
Youll also be working with Databuild and Evolve so experience with either system or the ability to quickly learn similar platforms is essential.
