Scaffold Builder Supervisor

This person will construct assemble maintainand dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.A minimum of 4 years of experience is required within the Scaffolding craft. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have 7 years of experience as a Scaffold Builder Management
  • Determines type of scaffold needed.
  • Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
  • Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
  • Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
  • Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
  • Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding Material.
  • Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
  • Adheres to all OSHA site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
  • Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
  • Dismantles scaffolding when it has been effectively communicated to do so.
  • Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.
  • Must be proficient in managing a crew time and costs.
  • Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions.
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
  • Must have all the required tools.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work.
  • Locations quantities and sizes of materials required.
  • Identify all tools required for tasks.
  • Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education: no minimum education requirements.

Certification/License: NCCER and Valid Drivers License.

Experience Responsibilities - Direct supervise 5 to 10 scaffold builders in the Operations Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Austin Industrials policies & procedures and applicable laws.
