Job Title: Field Tech Pay: $20 $30 an hour FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Reports to: Maintenance Manager Company Summary: Midwest Petroleum is a retail petroleum and convenience store chain based in St. Louis Mo. Midwest Petroleum operates 60 stores within a 150-mile radius that employs approximately 600 employees. Midwest Petroleum markets fuel through the ZX Conoco and Phillips 66 brands. Primary Purpose of Job: As the Field Tech your primary responsibility is troubleshooting repairing issues and providing preventative maintenance to all Midwest Petroleums retail locations. Completing tickets submitted by retail locations to help keep the locations at their best. Field Techs must have a general understanding of all Midwests assets found at the various locations. A general understanding of plumbing electrical HVAC and beverage equipment. All Field Techs take part in the 24/7 On-call shift rotations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance for
- Plumbing systems
- Beverage equipment
- Light fixtures
- Electrical systems
- Basic HVAC equipment
- Help maintain buildings and storage with general carpentry work.
- Providing service and customer support during field visits.
- Documenting all repairs made by producing detailed service reports.
- Making appropriate recommendations and briefing on repairs diagnostics and equipment specifications
- Responsible for clearing all trash weeds brush and debris from retail locations.
- Inventory of all maintenance supplies and ensure they are safe and in good working condition.
- Following company procedures and protocols
- Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by:
- Weatherproofing
- Tying down unsecured items
- Winterizing
- Remove snow in winter conditions and keep outdoor areas safe during bad weather including spreadingdeicer on walkways and steps.
- Maintaining company vehicle and equipment.
- Handle any other work that can be assigned at the supervisors discretion.

Physical Requirements This position is performed in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to general office equipment beverage equipment coolers and any other site-specific equipment/factors. You could also encounter exposure to hazardous materials and loud noises. This job requires the ability to walk stand bend and reach regularly. Must be able to frequently be required to lift push or pull weight of at least 5 to 75 pounds. Ability to work in different Midwest Petroleum Stations. Could be required to work on the rooftops scaffolding ladders and other high places. Work in different weather environments. Required to use power tools and all required safety gear along with it.
