Job Description

Regional HR Director - (Healthcare)

Lakewood NJ (Hybrid for the right candidate)

115K150K (DOE)

About Us:
Our client a fast-growing ABA Company is a mission-driven behavioral health organization operating across multiple states. As they expand they are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Director to oversee their multistate HR operations with a primary focus on policy procedure compliance and employee relations.

The Opportunity:
This high-impact role requires a confident seasoned HR leader who can drive recruitment ensure state-specific compliance and serve as the central HR advisor to a team of directors across multiple regions. Youll be responsible for enforcing consistency in employee relations and policy across state lines while navigating local laws and supporting directors remotely. You must be detail-oriented process-driven and exceptionally professionalwith the ability to implement not just suggest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and optimize full-cycle recruitmentespecially in healthcare/ABA rolesacross multiple states.

  • Develop and implement compliance policies tailored to state-specific requirements.

  • Provide direct HR support to regional directors acting as the central hub for operational consistency.

  • Manage employee relations escalations and sensitive investigations with professionalism and legal clarity.

  • Design and enforce HR SOPs onboarding tools and handbooks across all operating states.

  • Act as the face of HR in leadership meetingsadvising on strategy retention and employee development.

  • Train and mentor in-state and remote HR representatives or department heads on core HR principles and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of progressive HR experience.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance across different states is preferred.

  • Proven success in recruiting clinical and non-clinical staff.

  • Comfortable managing up influencing leadership and communicating across a dispersed team.

  • SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP or PHR certification highly preferred.
