Job Description
Senior Video Editor
Location: Hyderabad (On-site)
Experience: Minimum 5 Years
Softobiz Tech is seeking a highly creative innovative and experienced Senior Video Editor to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional long-form and short-form video content demonstrating a keen eye for storytelling strong technical proficiency and a passion for pushing creative boundaries including leveraging the power of AI tools in their workflow.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Video Production: Lead the post-production process from raw footage to final delivery for a variety of projects including marketing campaigns product explainers corporate videos social media content and more.
- Creative Storytelling: Transform raw footage into compelling and engaging narratives ensuring seamless flow impactful pacing and strong visual appeal.
- Long-Form & Short-Form Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding and hands-on experience in editing both extensive long-form content (e.g. documentaries tutorials webinars) and highly engaging short-form content (e.g. social media ads reels TikToks).
- Innovation & Trend Adoption: Stay abreast of the latest video editing trends techniques and technologies including the rapidly evolving landscape of AI tools actively seeking innovative approaches to enhance content quality and audience engagement.
- Technical Mastery: Possess expert-level proficiency with industry-standard video editing software and tools including but not limited to:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects (for motion graphics and visual effects)
- DaVinci Resolve (for advanced color grading)
- Adobe Audition (for audio editing and mixing)
- Familiarity with other relevant tools like Final Cut Pro (if applicable to company workflow).
- Proficiency in AI Video Editing Tools: Demonstrate hands-on experience and a strong understanding of how to integrate and leverage AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency and creative output. This includes but is not limited to tools for:
- Automated transcription and subtitling: Utilizing AI for quick and accurate captions.
- Smart object removal/replacement: Seamlessly eliminating unwanted elements from footage.
- AI-assisted color grading and correction: Speeding up color workflows and ensuring consistency.
- Automated scene detection and rough cuts: Efficiently generating initial edits from raw footage.
- AI-powered audio enhancement: Noise reduction dialogue enhancement and automatic audio leveling.
- Generative AI for content creation: Exploring and utilizing tools for generating elements like AI avatars text-to-video or image-to-video.
- Workflow optimization: Identifying and implementing AI solutions to automate repetitive tasks and improve overall post-production efficiency.
- Motion Graphics & Visual Effects: Design and integrate dynamic motion graphics visual effects and animated elements to elevate the production value of videos potentially utilizing AI for faster creation or enhancement.
- Color Grading & Sound Design: Perform professional-level color correction and grading to achieve desired visual aesthetics. Master sound design and audio mixing to ensure crystal-clear audio and immersive soundscapes including AI-driven audio clean-up.
- Collaboration: Work closely with content creators marketing specialists designers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements provide creative input and ensure alignment with brand guidelines and project objectives.
- File Management & Workflow Optimization: Maintain meticulous organization of video assets project files and ensure efficient workflow processes including backup and archiving always looking for opportunities to integrate AI for improved efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews to ensure all videos meet high quality standards are error-free and are optimized for various platforms and delivery methods.
- Mentorship (Optional but a plus): Potentially mentor junior editors and contribute to the growth of the video editing team including sharing knowledge of AI tool integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional video editing experience specifically with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both long-form and short-form content.
- Exceptional storytelling abilities with a proven track record of creating engaging and impactful video content.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Advanced knowledge of color grading (e.g. DaVinci Resolve) and audio mixing principles.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in utilizing various AI-powered video editing tools to enhance workflow and creative output.
- Strong understanding of video codecs formats compression and optimization for various digital platforms (web social media mobile).
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and experiment with editing techniques including the integration of AI to deliver fresh and unique content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate creative ideas and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset particularly in exploring new technological solutions.
- Bachelors degree in Film Media Production Communication or a related field is preferred.
