Position Summary:
The Programs Planner & Data Manager serves a critical dual-function role responsible for both developing and maintaining program schedules and managing program-critical data. This role ensures the seamless flow of secure information while driving program execution through collaborative planning and schedule tracking.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of project planning skills data management expertise and a working knowledge of engineering and customer document portals preferably within the aerospace or defense sectors. This role requires attention to detail proactive problem-solving and effective communication across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning
- Collaborate with program management engineering and cross-functional teams to develop realistic and compliant project schedules.
- Identify dependencies milestones and critical paths to support project execution.
- Use project management tools to maintain and update schedules and resource allocation plans.
- Track and report schedule status risks and performance metrics.
- Support proposal efforts by developing planning inputs and delivery schedules.
Data Management
- Lead and track data submittals in alignment with program timelines and contract requirements.
- Establish standards and best practices for internal data creation storage and submission.
- Maintain version control and security of all digital records and controlled data.
- Upload and download files via customer portals and ensure document integrity.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and manage system performance including database protection and upgrades.
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in both program/project planning and structured data/document control.
- Familiarity with industry-standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project Smartsheet or Primavera).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Project Access).
- Working knowledge of engineering data systems (e.g. JAMA JIRA Windchill Qualio or Propel).
- Understanding of customer requirements for document/data management in aerospace/space flight preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse technical and administrative teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- At least 3 years of combined experience in project planning and data management or document control.
- Experience with schedule creation and maintenance and managing controlled data in a technical environment.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent residence is required for this position
