Role: Business Development Specialist Lead Generation & Appointment Setting
Location: Remote (Preference for candidates based in South Africa
Schedule: Full-time preferred 40 hours/week); open to part-time (minimum 32 hours/week)

We are a growing company in the short-term rental management space helping property owners maximize their returns on platforms like Airbnb through hands-on management and strategic pricing. After consistent traction and growth we re now at a pivotal point of scaling our lead generation efforts.
We re looking for a Business Development Specialist to generate qualified opportunities and drive the top of our client acquisition funnel.
This is not a sales-closing role this position is focused on frontline lead generation and appointment setting. It s ideal for someone who thrives on outreach research and creating opportunities from the ground up.
You ll begin by working through an existing lead list reactivating and qualifying viable contacts. From there the role will evolve to include identifying new lead sources and conducting outbound prospecting.
We re looking for a resourceful proactive self-starter who treats this role like a mission consistently testing improving and owning the outreach process to ensure a steady pipeline of high-quality appointments for the leadership team.
Conduct outreach to leads via email phone and LinkedIn
Activate and qualify contacts from an existing database
Research and build new lead sources and prospect lists
Qualify leads and set high-quality appointments for leadership
Track all outreach activity and engagement in Pipedrive CRM
Maintain consistent follow-up to prevent leads from falling through the cracks
Own cold and warm outreach using email LinkedIn and phone
Write personalized brand-aligned outreach messages
Test and refine messaging and outreach strategies for improved response rates
Manage scheduling tools and ensure timely updates to the team
Maintain accurate organized data in Pipedrive
Monitor lead pipeline status and progression
Recommend improvements in outreach processes and lead tracking systems
2 years in lead generation outreach or business development
Proven ability to independently manage and grow a lead pipeline
Experience using CRM systems (preferably Pipedrive
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organized self-motivated and goal-driven
Comfortable in a fast-paced fully remote work environment
Takes initiative and ownership of outcomes with minimal supervision
Experience in the short-term rental Airbnb or real estate industry
Familiarity with outreach/automation tools (e.g. Mailchimp Zapier Apollo)
Background in outbound email and social selling
