Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of an effective global medical underwriting framework and ensure consistent governance.
- Global medical underwriting representative for all product development initiatives.
- Contribute to our underwriting philosophy and the development of our underwriting manual.
- Contribute to the development of internal and external training programs.
- Work as part of our expert global medical underwriting team.
- Work in collaboration with colleagues in other areas of the business including Chief Underwriters and Medical Officers Central Pricing project managers and lawyers.
Qualifications :
Requirements:
- A minimum of 15 years experience in multiple global Critical Illness markets in life insurance/reinsurance within medical underwriting claims and product development.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Life Disability and Critical Illness medical underwriting and Claims.
- Professional knowledge of treaty wordings standard terms and conditions product exclusions and claims triggers.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Strong focus on all aspects of medical underwriting and claims governance including audit expertise.
- English to expert level. Any other language skills would be considered a benefit.
- Some travel may be required.
