About the Role
As a Senior Merchandise Planner you will be responsible for developing and executing demand and inventory plans that support sales margin and customer experience. The person in this role will partner cross functionally to align product availability with marketing digital merchandising strategies and site performance trendsensuring the right product is available in the right quantity at the right time.
Youll Make a Difference By
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Creating and maintaining style- color- and size-level demand forecasts for
- Using historical sales data site traffic promotions and marketing inputs to project demand
- Participating in weekly and monthly forecast reviews and aligning updates with cross-functional partners
Inventory & Availability Management
- Monitoring in-stock rates weeks of supply and inventory health across key styles and categories
- Flagging potential stockouts oversells and excess inventory; recommending proactive reflows or pulls
- Collaborating with Supply Planning and Distribution Center teams to ensure timely product flow
Sales & Promo Alignment
- Partnering with Digital Merchandising and Marketing to support new product launches site promotions and key campaigns
- Analyzing promotional lift and post-event performance to improve forecast accuracy
Reporting & Analysis
- Delivering weekly business recaps and sell-through reports by category and product
- Supporting hindsight reviews and seasonal planning through performance trend analysis
- Utilizing tools such as Excel Tableau and ERP/forecasting systems to generate insights
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Working closely with merchandising marketing customer service and fulfillment teams to align plans with execution
- Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for all inventory and forecasting needs specific to
About You
- You have a Bachelors degree in Business Economics Supply Chain or a related field along with 4 years of experience in retail e-commerce or demand planning preferably in apparel or footwear.
- You are analytically sharp with strong Excel skills and experience using forecasting or planning tools.
- You understand key e-commerce metrics like conversion rate promo lift and in-stock percentage and you know how to leverage them to make better decisions.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized you can manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality work.
- Youre confident presenting your recommendations and are equally open to cross-functional feedback and collaboration.
- Youre proactive and adaptable - someone who thrives in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
Success in this role will be measured by:
- High in-stock rates and size availability on
- Accurate forecasting across core and seasonal products
- Reduced lost sales and excess inventory
- Strong sell-through and margin performance on promotions
- Efficient inventory turnover and weeks of supply management

The salary range for this position is $100000 - $110000 per year.
The salary is determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
