Job Description

Nurse Practitioner-Critical Care Permanent Role
  • Location: Dallas TX 75246
  • Shift: 8 HR Days 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 24 per week
  • Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions:
  • Perform comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories to assess patient condition.
  • Order interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests (labs imaging etc.) to support clinical decision-making.
  • Prescribe and manage medications and therapeutic treatments with attention to safety efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement outcome-based treatment plans using evidence-based medicine and professional standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on clinical response.
  • Counsel patients and families on treatment plans disease processes medication usage nutrition and preventive care.
  • Document patient assessments care plans and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
  • Refer patients to appropriate specialists when conditions exceed scope of practice or expertise.
  • Perform invasive procedures within the providers training and privileges under physician delegation.
  • Provide inpatient support including rounding assisting with admissions/discharges and participating in on-call duties.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong clinical knowledge in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Proficient in interpreting diagnostic tests and developing treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Computer proficiency including EMR systems.
  • Ability to provide patient-centered compassionate and efficient care.
  • Effective collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Experience: New graduates welcome (less than 1 year of experience accepted)
  • Licenses & Certifications:
    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
    • Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Texas
    • Board Certification as one of the following:
      • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC)
      • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNPC-AG)
      • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)-must be obtained within 30 days of hire
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)-must be obtained within 30 days of hire
